Hey! I’ve been doing the very expensive route of sema and then tirzepatide for 1 1/2 yes and need to get off that bus. But aside from cost, I also want to try some other peptides. Not sure if I did something wrong or got dud Reta because I am on 3rd week, 2mg and it feels like nothing and I’ve even GAINED WEIGHT, oh no!

Stupid question but what’s the difference Reta 20,30,40 etc.? I supposedly have reta20. Thinking of adding mots-c as I heard it was good for insulin sensitivity (I have PCOS and would like to loose at least 40lbs)

Also, I’m in Europe.

Hey welcome!

There could be a few reasons for why you are having a slow response to reta, from the information you are sharing, if i had to take an educated guess it's because you were on triz for so long and probably on a higher dose, so you built some resistance to glp1's.

2mg is the starting dose, to get your body adjusted and reduce the side effects, if you want to lose significant weight like 40lbs, you'll have to titrate up until you find a dose that works well for you.

20,30,40 reta, is just how many mg one vial contains, example a 10mg vial will give you 5 2mg injections and so on.

If you want to order mots-c along with your reta, you should totally do it, cause you'll save on shipping cost, but since you are still figuring reta out, i'd keep it in the fridge until you get a good understanding of how your body is reacting to reta.

I hope i gave you a bit more clarity on some of your questions.

I recommend you to do a lot of research, read what people are saying on this forums, read clinical trials results (if they interest you) and watch a lot of youtube videos, this is an exciting world but always be careful and do as much of your own research as possible.

Thanks for this! I missed your reply until now! I appreciate it. I’ve definitely been researching!

I’m up to 5mg and still not seeing results. I think I need to try and get some from somewhere else now that I found this forum. and stack?

It would be nice to connect with others in Europe to learn more about how it works on this side of the pond (I’m American btw).

If I built resistance, what to do? I’ve already gained back weight and a bit nervous to gain more… but how much is too much? I had the best response with wegovy but everyone is mostly talking about tirzepatide.

I’m rambling but anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

If sema and tirz worked for you, it would be extremely rare if reta didn't, though it's possible the chance is slim, but if this is the case you could be a non responder to reta, despite other GLP-1s working for you.

Would i be correct in assuming you haven't gotten a kit from on this forum yet? if you haven't, before giving up on reta i would do that, you can read the reviews and look around for what people are saying, due to forum rules i can't tell you anything regarding this subject, but if you have more question you can reply here or use the search function which is also helpful.

I do think the reta you have been getting might be bogus, you can get a year of supply for cheap, tirz and sema are even cheaper so the world is your oyster.

My reply was more detailed, but the bot kept flagging my comment so i couldn't post it, so i had to remove a lot of stuff and change the wording around but i hope i was able to help you in some way.

Hi and welcome!

What is or was your current weekly dose of Tirzepatide?

If you stopped let's say 10mg/week, jumping to 2mg of Retatrutide is nog going to overwhelm you, I would be surprised if you even felt it.

If Tirzepatide was working for you, why not continue that. It's cheaper than Reta. Or combine the both of them?

Hi hi, had somewhat? similar situation,

Bought reta pen locally started at 2mg and absolutely 0 effects, was a bit concerned that i might be non-responder, but pulled a trigger on vials from China and felt effects the very next day after starting at 1mg.

Hi and welcome from another newbie!

I’m in a similar boat, haven’t made the switch to Reta yet (bought my first vial today) but I’ve recently gained a little bit of weight back after slowing down on Tirz (Mounjaro) to try and make it last due to the insane cost of pens (so am now only doing 10mg once a month, my body seems to respond best doing 10mg every 10 days, I’m really not liking the sudden overwhelming food noise now that I’ve gone 3 weeks without). Unlike you though I never responded to Sema for some reason, but responded very well to Tirz.

Sorry to hop onto your comment BBA1969, but as I’m in the same boat here can I ask in your advice re dosing: would 4mg be too big of a starting dose for Reta (after being used to 10mg Tirz for 18 months) or will I not even feel any effect from 4mg? Everyone here seems to start at 2mg but I doubt I’ll have any effect from that.

Hi @zxcvb123

I was on Mounjaro 7.5mg (from a 15mg pen) which made it already more affordable. I was splitting the doses (2 x 3.75/week).

After a learning phase I got acces to grey and bought Tirz, Reta and some other stuff.

The plan was to switch over to Reta, so I replaced one of the weekly Tirz shots with 2mg of Reta. It was not as "potent" as I expected to say the least. The next shot I upped to 3mg and 4mg the week after. That's when I started feeling the benefits.

In the end I didn't completely switch over to Reta but I combine them.

The starting dose of 2mg is for the adjustment fase, first therapeutic dose is supposed to be 4mg. Personally I wouldn't jump to a mega dose from the start but given the fact that you have been on Mounjaro for a while you could consider titrating up a little faster than every 4 weeks.

This is my personal experience and not advise 😉, you are a different person so may react differently. I never had any bad sides on any of the 15+ peptides I've researched, that's not the case for everybody.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a helpful, in-depth response. Really grateful 😊 I feel so out of my depth in this new world so any advice is so appreciated!

Hi,

Yea I have some R I got elswhr but I’m not sure if it’s bogus. I’m in France so hard to know as most info seem to target the us.

I think I responded best to sema so far … I had a prescription and used it for over a year… lost 35 lbs and stalled so my dr. switched me to tirz. And I got up to 7.5 but was gaining weight with it. So dr said I should go back to sema but it’s just become too much to continue paying for and I kept hearing about R so wanted to try.

Now I think I would like to try R and sema stacked but tirz seems every where but not sema, and especially here where I live. Hope this is understandable what I’m trying to say so it doesn’t get restricted. I’ve already had to edit a bit. I have no idea how to make sure it’s qualit-y.

Btw…Thanks for answering me ☺️

I seemed to have the best response on sema but stalled… I was on highest dose of wegovy… then dr switched me to mon jour no and I got up to 7.5 but was gaining weight and so dr said I should switch back. In the meantime I got some Reta but I think it might be a dud… I am up to 5 and still not feeling anything and have gained a little bit more. I want to try stacking I think. Can’t say more than that because of restrictions but this is where I’m at in terms of dosage right now

After a while, you're gonna build up some tolerance to GLP-1s anyway. Also keep in mind for most people, Tirzepatide suppresses hunger better than Retatrutide so it's possible you might need to bump that dose up to get the effects you're looking for.

Or you can stack it with Cagrilintide, or Eloralintide, or Sema..... so many possibilities.

A multitude of different options have already been discussed here plenty of times. My best advice is to check out other people's experiences and get a feel for what route you wanna go.

Hi, just wondering if you know that your Reta was good. I think that may be the issue if you feel nothing at all
