I was on semaglutide via a compounding pharmacy a while back (about $200 a month). I ended up going from ~240 pounds to ~210 pounds in about 5 months. I reached a point where the semaglutide wasn't doing much. I also didn't want to pay $100 more to up the dosage, so I ended up quitting GLPs.

Now I'm back and ready to buy and reconstitute the stuff myself. I was going to go with one of those American resellers, but after doing more research and landing here, I see that they literally charge 1000% markup. They just buy a vial straight from China and then sell 1 vial to recoup all costs from that kit. Glad I found this forum, I can save so much money.

I'm still on the fence about retatrutide, not sure how dangerous the glucagon mechanism/raising my burn rate is.

Good for you.

Yeah the American suppliers price gouge pretty good.

Depends on your current health conditions. If there issues with cardiac health, retatrutide should not be used due to it bumping heart rate.

Burn rate isn't necessarily the issue. It's the effect on the heart.

I am fairly healthy overall, at least when I look at my Garmin HRV (90-110) and resting heart rate (mid 40s). I just wonder if it's overkill. Semaglutide was pretty good to me and I assume tirz would be good too.

Welcome! You have already been down the semaglutide road and learned a lot from your first experience. Losing around 30 Ibs is no small thing. I can see why the cost and plateau would push you to look into other options. There's definitely a lot of information to sort through here, so hopefully the forum helps you make sense of it all. Glad to have you here
