Hi , 58yo male, lifelong obesity , I have managed to diet my way to normal or near normal weights several times in the past but was never able to stay there for long , longest ever being 2-3 years. I have been on Tirzepatide 15mg plus Retatrutide 5mg for about a year, plus more recently cagrilintide at 0.5mg/w. Started at 145kg in 2022 and lost 70 kg with a high protein low calorific density diet, kept the weight off for a year or so with more or less constant hunger. Started on prescribed Ozempic in 2024 but could not tolerate doses higher than 0.5mg without nausea and malaise, ended up on 0.22mg/2days for a year, helped a bit with hunger but was both hungry and nauseous a lot of the time. Swapped to tirzepatide with much less side effects, discovered the cheap Chinese versions which helped, but was still a bit hungry so added reta, weight slowly dropped over the past year to now at 64kg bmi 23 56% down.
I am a big fan of GLP drugs, not so much the other peptides, for me GLPs are more or less lifesaving, and currently I seem to have worked out a dose that keeps my weight stable and I can eat when I am hungry, and not put on a kilo a week like I would have in the past, still being fairly careful to not eat unhealthy food but unlike at any other time in my life I seem to get full easily and do not always feel like eating the rest of the bar of chocolate if I have a little bit, which is a new and amazing experience.
