Heyyy everyone,
Thought I'd come on here and introduce myself!!
I 24F never really struggled with my weight or food noise as a teen, but in adulthood it's slowly become more of an issue. Over the years I've found myself dealing with more and more food noise, less discipline around eating, and it's resulted in me gaining a decent amount of weight. I've also had a few traumatic experiences over the years, including grief and some mental health struggles. Without going into loads of detail, I definitely ended up relying on alcohol more than I should have as a way of coping for a while, which obviously didn't help my relationship with food or my health in general. I've had periods where I've been into the gym (mostly strength training) or running, but I never stay consistent for long before slipping back into old habits.
I'm at the point now where I really just want to get back on track and improve my health. GLP-1s, especially retatrutide, have really caught my attention and I'm hoping to learn as much as I can. I'm pretty much starting from scratch so I'm a little bit overwhelmed but looking forward to becoming more knowledgeable and hopefully start on reta soon. Any UK specific advice would be welcomed!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone < 3
