Introductions are hard for introverts but I'll do my best. I'm living in the US. My rheumatologist suggested trying a GLP1 last year but my insurance wouldn't cover it. After reading about compounded GLP1s on Reddit, I found a supplier and started on compounded Semaglutide in February. I lost about 20lbs the first few month on the starter dose of .25mg. I'm now taking .5mg and lost another 5lbs. I'm currently waiting to find out if I'll be approved for the Medicare GLP1 bridge program🤞 I never knew this forum existed until someone on Reddit mentioned it. I'm glad I found it and I'm hoping to learn from other members😁

Hey, I traveled a similar route, insurance laughed at me, the VA wanted me to jump through 50 hoops. I lurked for a while learning what I could before joining....

Did you also run into the issue of not being able to use any coupons for self pay due to government insurance? I tried getting the coupon discount through LillyDirect and they told me anyone with any type of government insurance was ineligible because of some law passed in 1972😭

Honestly, I did not even try. I joined one of those Telehealth compounding companies because it was the path of least resistance I guess. Did not know that there were other options until a family friend got me in the loop. Now I am down the rabbit hole having fun researching all the things I can do for myself.
