Hi there, Athena from Berlin, Germany. I am 49 and knee deep in perimenopause - including the weight gain. I have a prescription for bioidentical hormones and they are helping me to stabilize my cycle. But I was wondering if there was more that I could do to lose some belly fat, gain more strength and be in a more uplifted mood? I am brand new to peptides. So I don't know my way around. But I figured joining the community will help me? Pleased to meeting you all! I am grateful for gentle guidance. 🥰

Hi Athena, welcome! 🥰 I’m also new to this community, although I have been learning about and using peptides for a while now.

My mother experienced very similar issues during menopause, particularly stubborn weight gain and frequent hot flashes. She had already tried several treatments prescribed by her doctor, but unfortunately none of them made a significant difference for her.

She eventually started using retatrutide, and it has helped her lose the stubborn kilos she had been struggling with. Interestingly, her hot flashes and other mood-related issues also disappeared while she was using it.

There is a lot to learn about peptides, so take your time, ask plenty of questions, and be careful with anyone promising instant or guaranteed results.

Hi there! Thank you for the insights. Thats very interesting! I feel like (Peri)menopause is such an unknown / undstudied field... So much to discover still!

I am also in the same boat as you. I think both HRT & glp-1 is helping me tremendously. I actually have energy to go about my day and my family is also grateful that I am less bitchy these days. 😆

Haha! Yes, I can relate! I will research! Thank you!

Hi @AthenaBerlin ! I'm here for the same reason - stubborn weight gain from perimenopause, ugh. I've been looking into reta for it - it seems my liver fat has increased and has complicated fat loss. Reta is supposed to help with that. I hope you find out some good info here!
