My name is Spencer, I’m from St Louis MO. Early 40’s. My weight has been way up and down all my adult life, after being very heavy all of my childhood. I’ve always struggled with overeating. The only diet I ever had success with was keto, which helped me lose a lot of weight in a relatively short period of time. I also felt great on it. Unfortunately I also felt very limited in it in terms of what I could eat, and it became such a hassle that I moved away from it. I started on semaglutide last year, didn’t have much success and didn’t like the way it made me feel. I felt like my appetite was still just as strong, but after I ate I just felt like shit. Then I switched to Tirzepatide in May of this year, and I’ve had a decent amount of success. I’m down about 30 pounds so far, but I also feel like I’ve plateaued. My weight hasn’t budged much in about a month, and my appetite is coming back slowly but surely. I’m currently at 15 mg, so I’m pretty much topped out at this point and I don’t feel like it’s helping like it once did. One main positive thing though is that my overall choices have gotten a lot better, even as my appetite has returned. I tend to avoid pigging out, even at the end of the week when I know I can do it and feel okay. Taking the shot has helped train my mind to make better choices, which is great. But as the effects of Tirzepatide wear off, I’ve considered switching to Reta as I hear that’s even more effective. I’ve still got at least a month or so or Tirz left so I’m biding my time and researching what the next move should be. Maybe a short break from the shot is what I need? I’m here to find out. Anyway, thanks for reading! I’m happy to read any opinions on this, and happy to talk more with anyone who wants to share their experiences. Thank you!
