Recreational substances and retatrutide

Thank you OP for trying this out and sharing your experience.

This is a reason for me to think twice about planning some events with recreational mind altering substances when on Reta.

I already expected it to influence dopamine emhancers.

I have a few events planned in the following months and will try to space the GLP1 as far away as possible. Fingers crossed it doesn't affect anything too much.

Anywayssss losing weight has made it possible to dance even longer being completely sober which I love! 😄

100% honesty, I had more fun with these reduced effects than all my other 10 times at this music festival.

I felt clearer and more able to have meaningful interactions with the other people in attendance. So while I was disappointed at first, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Honestly, I was picking friends out of dance-floors of thousands of people, catching friends walking by in all states of strange dress, was remembering and connecting with people I met only briefly days before.

My purpose of this post is to let people know what to expect and really urge them DO NOT try and double or triple your dose. Just because you aren’t getting the positives you are accustomed to, doesn’t mean the negatives associated with these substances are not still happening. That said I wouldn’t have upped my recreational substance experience if it meant trading my more pure mental clarity now that I have experienced both.

Wish you the best and please come back to report your experiences to help others make the most informed decisions they can.

I don't condone the use of any of these substances (and honestly if you're going to be taking peptides and optimizing your health it doesn't make much sense to me) but threads like these are very interesting. The anecdotes on retatrutide continue to amaze me.

My party days are in the past, but this is great info! Ketamine is often used in a lot of medical and psychiatric treatments, so from a strictly medical standpoint, this is great for letting medical staff know. Thank you for your research and sharing it. 🫡

I was surprised to find my local dentist was now using it in procedures. It would be interesting to ask their office if the dentist is having any issues with it in their GLP people.

I am taking dexamfetamine ( prescribed by a psychiatrist ) . Before starting ozempic 2 years ago I could easily tell I had taken a dose. As soon as I started ozempic I could no longer sense the effect of the drug, I think it was still having some effects but was reduced a fair bit and it removed my ability to discriminate the drug effect. Maybe partly due to slowed absorption but

I suspect it's effects on dopamine circuitry were mainly to blame, which is a bit annoying, as it was more useful and effective before ozempic

Wow then this thread is a useful way for us all to share how many types of chems are dulled from these GLP1s

Interesting

Many of these things (like 🍄 , ketamine, and Molly) are used for more than recreational use. They are used for mental health, therapy sessions, etc. They are also legal in many places (even areas of the US).

Hey folks,

Just got back from Shambhala Music Festival. My yearly retreat to engage in some hedonistic behaviours.

As a lot of interactions have yet to be explored I feel this could be valuable information to put out into the world.

Cocaine: Has nearly no effect. There is no dopamine spike. 100% see how GLP1s are helping people kick this addiction.

Acid: First night thought my friend had weak or bad acid. Maybe expired because nothing happened. Bought from another friend who had just had an amazing experience the night before and also absolutely nothing.

MDMA: Came as a mixed capsule so likely mdma mixed with some mda or speed. The purpose of that mix is that pure mdma is not a great dancing drug it is a hug and love drug. This had a far more mellow effect than normal. No talking peoples ear off, not soak into a comfy seat satisfaction with the world. It was very nice but nowhere near as strong as it is normally.

2CB: This was my first time try this so have no previous experience to compare to. It was mellow but fun. Mild visuals, mild energy bump. Nice.

Ketamine: Almost no change

I’m glad you shared this. I have had an experience that aligns with two of these and haven’t used the others.

This is a good post, and good information to know. Whether people partake or not, recreational/party dogs (using dogs to substitute the actual word) is something that is more common than some people seem to think. Sharing personal experiences as you’ve done can help others who also partake in party dogs.

My party dog days are well behind me (sigh, my mental health just can’t take the hits anymore) but I was a risk taker, and if I wasn’t experiencing the usual feelings I did prior to using GLP’s, I would’ve have no doubt ingested more trying to chase that memory of a feeling.

I also find this interesting for another reason - people who struggle with dog addiction; could Reta help them stay on track? It’s an interesting thought.

As for my experiences, I switched from Reta back to Tirz a few weeks ago, but my (very legal, prescribed by my dr) adhd amphets did not seem impacted by Reta.
