I am a pet lover but you're correct! I hate to say it but the dog is better off not being with her. It's neglect simple as that.

Been taking glow and kpv for months now. I've had 2 surgeries and it helped healing a lot.

And I'm on two antibiotics so yeah I'm covered. My husband rewraps it for me so if anything looks off it takes a picture so I can see it. I've had to change the bandages a couple times because the they don't stick to your calf very well it's almost in the bend at my knees. They keep coming off so tomorrow I'm going to go get some balls and wrap around it. I have to take it off and change it every day because I have to put some antibiotic ointment on it.

Depending on the size of the wound and required dressing type, A large film bandage (4" x5" or so) might be helpful since they stick really well in tough areas. You'd put gauze in the center of it to soak fluids. A hydrocolloid bandage (4x4 usually) also stick to tough areas well, no extra gauze required as it absorbs fluids. Best of luck and healing!

Thank you. This is good info. The bandages definitely are staying on very well.
 
I live in a neighborhood where people don't take good care with their dogs. There are attacks all the time. I was in my workshop when Zoe the Psycho Dalmation from kitty-corner across the street mauled an old lady out for a walk, which I'd told Zoe's owners was only a matter of time before it happened just a few months prior, when I explained to them that if I saw Zoe on my property again, I would be sorry to shoot her but would nevertheless. (It was an absolute bluff, I don't even own a gun, but I really, really wanted them to take better care.) I got to call the cops that day, get the poor woman's arm wrapped, get her some water, and wait with her. Wasnt a fun day for anyone. Changed nothing. Zoe got a dirt nap, the neighbors just got another dog. They moved away, but there are others.

I carry dog biscuits and pepper gel on my own walks; I call them "plan A and plan B." I've never had to use plan B before and am glad of it, I don't really want to pepper gel a dog, but I'm sure I'll have to eventually.
