I know nobody owes us a particular type of body, and I’m certainly not going to shame anyone for pursuing health, but it makes me a little sad that we’re losing heavy, sexy celebrities and the message that you can be hot at any size. but that I could be accepted by the world as such…it meant a lot.
And at the same time now that I’m on my way to achieving fitting in straight sizes for good (not just the finite period of time where I’m grinding hard and white-knuckling ) and that it’s actually possible, I’m excited about it. I’m not a joiner, definitely a weirdo, but the social currency of thinness…it’s hard to ignore.
