Adding several vials to pen cartridge

So I have a few vials of 10mg left and would like to just use them before getting to my stash of 60mg.

I'm going to use a pen so 3ml cartridges and my dose each pin is 5mg.

I felt like just recon each 10mg vial with 0,5ml BAC and fill the cartridge up. Good idea? Normal procedure?

The thing is that I'm sort of mentally challenged when it comes to math.

0,5ml x 10mg x 4 vials = 2ml 40mg

0,5ml x 10mg x 6 vials = 3ml 60mg

Maybe a dumb question for some but I'm dumb so yeah cool. Thanks.
 
I've faced the same challenge and have done this with Reta and SS31. Honestly, it's not worth the trouble.

For vials from which I draw 2 or 3 doses, I’m currently testing pre-filled insulin syringes stored in the fridge. So far, I don’t have any clear conclusions to share. I lost a Tirz syringe: €4 down the drain! :-(

(That's when I realized I still have this mindset of spending 50€ per dose! Vive le grey)
 
i saw a video about this from peptide critic, he took 2ml and put it into the vials one at a time. so 2ml into the first vial, let it fully dissolve then drew it out and put that same reconned mixture into the next, then the next and the next untill all the vials were used. that way you dont have to do the math like you are and could just say 4 vials of 10mg each = 40mg in 2ml.

im sure there is some nuance as to how much the filler will add when doing multiple vials but idk if id even worry about that.

Okay. That's a way to go. Seems like more work though back and forth or maybe the save amount of work as my thought? I'm dumb remember. 🫪
 
If your dose is 5mg, your "0,5ml x 10mg x 4 vials = 2ml 40mg" will give you 8 weeks which is IMO just about the limit degradation wise for Reta.

Tirz has a reputation of being more resilient so a couple of extra weeks should be OK.

Why not just recon and pin from the vial? Seems like a lot of hassle and risk just to use a pen for a weekly shot.

It's not weekly it's every 3 days.

Your method is smarter: adding buffer to each vial and transferring the contents of each vial into the cartridge. Not just because that’s what I did 😉, but because it reduces the risk of damaging the peptide. And maybe it reduces the risk of contamination a little, too, but I’d have to think about that, and it’s too hot right now to do that.

That's what I thought. Feels weird transferring and mixing over and over again in some way. It's the same outcome but still feels better doing it like I (and you) said. That's a procedure for tomorrow morning when it's not a million degrees 🥵 am I right?
