Bloating on Reta...?

yeah there's a doc on youtube that talks specifically about bloating on reta.

essentially it's just like you surmised, due to food (esp. fruits and veggies) sitting longer in the stomach it ferments and gases build up. just eat less raw fruits and veggies or cook them.

Yeah, I eat a lot of coleslaw regularly, so I think that is the culprit.

True. I should look into a good source of fibre to take with my meals.

If you are already having issues, try sunfiber. It is the most gentle prebiotic fiber on the market.

While I love inulin, it also has the most side effects in sensitive individuals. Since you are already having issues, do not start with inulin.

definitely sounds like the culprit! try eliminating that for a week and replace it with another fiber source / vegetable that are low in the FODMAPs (spinach, carrot, chicory, olives, cucumber etc)

I had bloating and all the fun gastrointestinal side effects on reta. If I could do it all over again, I would have megadosed KPV the way I’m doing now. If you haven’t tried KPV, it might be worth a try.
