I'm on my 3rd or 4th week of elora (I don't keep good records
) and just wanted to report that eloralintide is way better for me than cagrilintide in terms of side effects. With cagri, I had some very strange episodes of mental fatigue and have experienced none of that with elora. Started at 1mg, then 1.5mg, and this week 2mg. My plan is to titrate up to 3mg and see how I do there.
I feel very similar as far as food supression as compared to cagri. But for me, I wouldn't even call it food supression or quieting of food noise. I would call it total satiation all the time. I can definitely see why the rats in the elora rat study didn't eat anything for a week. I've had to remind myself to eat these last few weeks. Think like after Thanksgiving dinner when you've had a large meal and the last thing on your mind is stuffing something else in your mouth. That feeling, without the bloat.
The best part is that there is no upper GI sides. So, I can eat (if I want) without nausea, vomiting, etc.
