Everyone's different, but I think a lot of people just ignore advice. In the US, Big Pharma ads are long! And every single one I've seen for a GLP-1 says something to the effect of "Combined with diet and exercise..."
Out of the 5 telehealths I patronized, only one required a clinician visit but she was clear that the meds work best with diet and exercise. The other telehealths were asynchronous, but in their documentation upon sign up it also strongly suggested diet and exercise. Others' experience may be different.
But people will "in one ear, out the other" and ignore very obvious things all day long. Like that hot coffee is hot...but now we have warning labels on disposable cup lids saying "WARNING! Contains hot coffee! This may burn you!"
That's a great sentiment! Forgive if I sound preachy...maybe it's because as a woman I've had countless people comment on my body...but I try to remember when helping: Would I want help given to me in this way? I'm not assuming you're insensitive - you seem like a person who genuinely wants to help others! But people can get very touchy with unsolicited weight loss advice, and if you work with him just remember you have a working relationship you want to maintain.
