Hello!
I'm a mid-30 Aussie lady from insane Melbourne-town.
I've been on Semaglutide for several years now, and have maintained a healthy BMI and body composition for over 1 year. I started off on the recommended dosing regimen of 1mg/week, but quickly found I only needed partial and/or less frequent doses to achieve and then maintain my goal weight.
I also suffered from bingeing/purging since I was a teenager, and semaglutide has cured me of this scourge. I now have no desire to binge, and even when I eat a bit too much, I have no desire to purge either. I consider myself completely free from my eating disorder. I have gotten into strength training and now focus my nutrition around getting adequate protein to fuel my muscles. Because of this, I consider GLP1's not only a miracle for the physical body, but also for the mind and mental health. My mind is free to think of other things, rather than trying to (unsuccessfully) quiet the voice nagging me to binge eat.
I love these medications and am excited to have found this community to speak with and learn from other GLP1 enthusiasts. Also keen to learn more about other peptides.
