Hi everyone! Thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m in my early 40s, male and started my GLP-1 journey at 254 lb. I’m now around 196 lb, so I’ve lost just under 60 lb. I dropped that hard between may 2025 and October 2025 but have not moved the scale since other that a few pounds maybe.
I’ve been lifting weights and dipping in and out of training for well over a decade, so I’m not new to the gym. I understand training, macros and nutrition, and I actually lost a similar amount of weight about seven years ago with the help of a PT and good nutrition coaching. The problem has never really been knowing what to do. It’s sticking with it when life gets busy, stress creeps in and my appetite takes over (busy job, wife, young kids etc).
Mounjaro has been a game changer for me because it’s finally helped me get control of that hunger. Alongside it, I’ve built much better habits and now run 15-20 km a week as well as lifting weights 2-3 times a week.
I’m currently tapering off Mounjaro and my focus has shifted from simply losing weight to improving my body composition, maintaining muscle and keeping the weight off long term. I’m also interested in following the research around newer GLP-1s, including retatrutide which I’ve spent 2 months reading about in all the usual places and have now acquired. Keen to see how I get on with that before looking at complementary options such as MOT-C AND KLOW.
I’ve joined to learn from people with real-world experience, share what’s worked for me, and hopefully pick up some good ideas along the way. Looking forward to getting involved!
