How is everyone doing? This introduction is so wonderful because I have the opportunity to connect and share with you all something I've struggled with for a long time, until I encountered GLPs.

Since I was small, weight was easy to put on, but hard to take off. It wasn't until my senior year in high school where I lost a ton of weight and said I can do this. Next was college and then while my weight fluctuated, I was able to maintain a good weight. Then came the work life......In my 20s I was still able to maintain a decent weight but once my children were born, it slowly crept up, almost to the mid 300s. BTW, I'm 6'5". It got to the point where I stopped stepping on the scale....

Then came my health scare. HbA1c levels bad, high cholesterol, you name it and I had it and was advised I need to lose weight or else I'm going to be in trouble. I took heed to the doctor's advice and did everything imaginable. I would exercise (yea 8-mile walks in FL humidity), dieting, etc. Nothing worked until I heard about GLP-1 medication. I was prescribed semuglatide in March of 2024 and wow did it change my life. Now I was making progress with my walks and my diet. Between March of 24 and Oct 25 I lost about 75 lbs. All numbers were back in normal range. Unfortunately, I had gained about 25 lbs. back because I just couldn't afford the medication. I got back on GLP back in May, and was on Zepbound for about a month, but again, I just couldn't afford the medication.

Hopefully i can hmget back on the medication to resume my progress. These medications have saved my life and I'm so excited to continue this journey with you all.
