Based in WA, currently on 2mg of Reta which I got from an Aus based company a few months ago pre-removal of their site.

Going well, appetite suppression is crazy. Weight loss as been gradual, so far lost about 1.5kg. Any tips on getting protein in would be amazing, as I think that’s currently my biggest draw back is hitting that 120g+ daily when I just can’t stomach 4 chicken breasts or eggs for breakfast..

Started at 148kg, alcoholic binge drinker. Now 12 months sober, 111kg and third week of Reta 🫡

Congrats on 12 months sober and the weight loss so far. That’s a huge accomplishment! For protein, shakes, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and tuna can be much easier to eat when appetite is low.

Congrats on the already epic results. I faced similar issues when I started too. I’m now on Reta and taking it slow. I accept that days 1-3 on reta I know I’m not going to hit my protein goals so I focus on just eating good food to fuel my body well enough to have energy to strength train. That includes carbs. When the Reta starts to slow down days 3-6 I make sure I smash my protein. Cheat codes that I find help. Creatine daily. I have 5g in my hydration drink every morning. I put unflavoured protein in my iced coffee drink every morning and pretty much throw protein powder in everything I can. Protein bar to scratch the itch of sweet treat. I make Greek yoghurt based sauces (green yogurt, garlic, lemon juice etc) to put on my bland chicken and veg meals. I’ve lost 9kg on reta so far in 4 months and have gained 0.5kg of muscle during that time, the rest being fat loss (and fluid). I’m not trying to gain muscle, I’m just trying not to lose it so I’m really happy with the results. For reference back in 2023 I tried ozempic and lost 15kg, 8kg being muscle. Gained it all back when I went off it. So this works for me. Hopefully something similar can help you. Keep at it!
