49 year old chap (crikey, nearly put 50...not quite!) both intrigued and rather terrified by the idea of peptides.

Would like to hit my 50th birthday in good shape, not currently hugely overweight, but definitely feel older than I ever have before...

Have read lots of positive things about Reta, so very tempted to give it a try, though currently it all seems a little overwhelming.

Very keen to speak to other people from the UK about their experiences, and get as much advice as possible.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hey ! I am a lass from North Yorkshire - York to be exact 🙂 I am also new here and trying to learn a little bit more and work out the best path for me. Currently taking MJ but thinking of changing to Reta or a combo. Feels very complicated reading some of the lingo 🤣 feel free to chat any time 🙂

Welcome- from your neighbor across the pond.

You’ll learn a lot here and become well versed in glps to the point you’ll be schooling your doctor.

Welcome☺️.

Brush up on your simple maths and be clear about your vial concentrations. You will be doing your own reconstitution so watch a few YT vids and harness your inner scientist. We’re not anywhere near as exposed to peptides in the UK as the USA so don’t rush into your first purchase.

What is your reason for starting out with Reta? Shiny new toy, reputation or previous experience with other GLPs? It might be the way to go if you don’t need to loose much and don’t have a problem with food noise.

I’ve done a few gray purchases now so browse the crypto thread, there’s a good Uk centric guide on there. Crypto gives you the most flexibility in vendor selection. And catch up with the last few posts from Zippity as he outlines the most common scams in the field. Good luck and welcome to the rabbit hole.

Welcome 🙂 I'm from the UK. My husband is Canadian, but living here, so I think he counts. We're both in our thirties, and while my experience is probably not as relevant to you, my husband's might be.

He was 123kg at 6'2" and suffering from the effects of being overweight but not enormous. He started taking 2.5mg tirz a week from my golden dose, and then upped it to 5mg after about 4 months. He's been on it for about 10 months now, and is still on 5mg. He's now 90kg and still losing. He doesn't take it every week, some weeks he forgets, but he's found it really helped his IBS, and he drinks a lot less booze than he used to, as well as losing weight without really trying.

He's got arthritis, and his bad knee still hurts if he does too much, but he doesn't need to wear a knee brace every day or live on zapain anymore, and he attributes a lot of that to the tirz (and obviously the weight loss, which has helped a lot). His sleep apnea is now gone, which is amazing, too.

I hope you find what you're looking for here.

Use the search function top right to look for something in particular eg. Reta stack, on the board. The threads pop out when you click on the menu button top left. Just pick a subject weight loss, tirzepatide, etc

Would you say something else is better to try than reta? My main issue is just ridiculous amounts of craving (dopamine seeking) so if one of the others is better that would be good to know before I delve in!

Cravings and food noise are generally helped by Tirz for a lot of people. You may want to stack it with the Reta. I don’t have experience doing that but plenty of others here do. (I’m keeping the Reta in my back pocket if I stall out)
