Hello!
I live in San Francisco and work in tech (ew!)
I started working out a lot a few months ago, and currently I run six days a week. When I started running shin splints were the bane of my existence. After a while they went away, but now they're back with a vengeance
Beyond stretching and strengthening exercises I've been researching less conventional solutions. In high school I used to run in vibram five fingers (back when they first came out, and there was only one model...) and I'm debating to go back to barefoot shoes for running. But my running volume now is way more than I ever got to back then.
In any case, I've also been lifting recently and slowly optimizing supplements, nutrition, etc. This is the first time I've really gotten into health and exercise as a hobby. It feels great! Tbh I think I take too many supplements, I'm planning on dropping some that are probably just placebos.
