Hello Everyone one. Pleased to be here.
My case is a little different than most. I did not go to peptides looking for weight loss or additional benefits they can offer. Mine is straight from the medical field.
I have myocarditis that I got from an extreme bacterial infection a few years ago. For those that do not know what that is. Is the swelling of the heart. Mine was from a bad infection that actually took over 50 days of drugs to get out of my system. This is due from the heart swelling to protect your body from the infection.
Most people's heart slowly returns to normal after this type of swelling. Mine has not and because of this, the outer walls of my heart have thinned. We have tried many things to help get me back to a normal lifestyle, but nothing has been working. Until visiting a new new cardiologist and he mentioned there is drug out there called Egrifta WR, that was developed for people with AIDS, but is showing benefits in testing for people with my condition. So we started it a few months ago. The issue is from Walgreens, because this is off label and insurance will not cover it, its almost $2500 a month.
Cut to peptides. I find out Egrifta WR is just tesa more or less, with even a single vial for way less. But also in journey, I have learned about things like Mots, Epi and ARA which are making things a lot more manageable for me. Side note, I am loosing a little bit of weight in the process, but its not like had a ton to loose, maybe 20-25lbs.
Just wanted to share my story and show how and why people get associated with peptides is not always the same reason for everyone.
