Hi, I'm obviously new. I just turned 40 last month and I'm from Kentucky. I joined this forum to learn more about peptides and specifically weight loss ones, but I'm seeing others that look very interesting.
Some background information about my weight loss journey. I was my heaviest in my early 30's topping out at 220lbs (I'm only 5'0"), which is a lot for my height. I started to take weight loss serious and with CICO and exercise I managed to get my weight down to 115lbs. Unfortunately, my weight crept back up and I gained about 50lbs back within a year. I tired to going back to being very strict with CICO and exercise, but couldn't do it. My biggest problem is food noise. After some time, I found out my insurance would cover glp-1's, so I started with semaglutide, but after a month decided to switch to Zebound and then because of insurance requirements I finally landed on Wegovy.
Things were great! No food noise. No cravings. Nothing. I got back down to 120lbs and was able to maintain that for several months. My insurance eventually decided it wouldn't cover glp-1's for weight loss anymore, so when my supply ran out, I couldn't continue taking Wegovy. That was April of this year. Since then the food noise returned. I've gained 10lbs since then and slowly gaining each month. I can't afford the price of this medication without insurance, so here I am.
I hope to learn a lot from this place.
