Hi everyone,
I’m 48, originally from the Netherlands but living in Germany for quite some years now, not too far from Düsseldorf.
I’ve always been quite an active guy. Cycling is probably my main sport, but I also swim, hike and played a lot of football when I was younger. Unfortunately the knees are not agreeing with me so much anymore
It started some years ago, mostly pain after longer bike rides or hiking, nothing too crazy. But last 2-3 years it became worse and now I also feel it sometimes when going down stairs or after sitting too long. Getting older I guess...
I have been to doctors and physio already and tried the usual stuff, exercises, rest, changing the way I train etc. It helps a bit but never really solved the problem. Also gained some kilos because I simply dont move as much as before, which of course probably doesnt help the knees either.
I found this forum while searching around about GLP-1 and weight loss. To be honest I dont know that much about it yet, so for the moment I’m mainly here to read and learn from people who have more experience. Not planning to rush into anything, just want to understand everything a bit better first.
Anyway, happy to be here and looking forward to reading around.
Cheers,
