A little about me: I started my GLP journey through one of those compounding websites on the commercials 😉

I did well on sema and then stopped it to try a different source through an employer program due to cost. TL;DR gained weight, was totally ineffective. Likely due to compounding changes with lawsuits. Was big mad.

Enter: the gray zone. Started Reta end of June or early July. I titrated up quickly - probably faster than I should have but whatever. I’m at 8mg and holding steady now. I do have the full body skin pain, but it has dissipated as my body has gotten more used to the 8mg. I’ve been at 8mg for about 3 weeks now. Lost 11 pounds since the beginning, so it’s steady, not too rapid.

I also tried NAD+ 500mg weekly for about 5 weeks. I did this because I read about it being helpful with GLP fatigue. Not sure I noticed a difference. I likely won’t continue it at this time.

I have noticed with the 8mg I can hardly eat. So, that’s actually not a great thing. I don’t want to lose muscle mass due to being unable to eat properly, so I’m considering backing off to 6mg to see if I can find a happy medium. Has anyone found that helpful?

Any muscle preservation tips?

Lastly, I haven’t filtered before. Yikes I know. But I honestly just dove in and didn’t even know about filtering until last week. So, I got a starter kit to begin filtering as well as use hospira bac water instead of what has been delivered with my vials. I wonder if this will improve the skin discomfort thing - but I read it’s somewhat common with Reta, not necessarily a bac water issue. Meh.

I’m also cold all the time and the goosebumps hurt due to the weird skin discomfort. Any insight on that would be super great!

Anyway, I’m happy to be here! Clearly I have lots to learn. I’ve never been on tirz but would consider it to replace Reta if the side effects become too bothersome. Not sure if I have to start low with tirz considering my history with GLPs but I’ll cross that bridge if/when the time comes.

Lastly, whoever created this little gem of a diagram, thank you! It’s a great visual tool!
