Hi all!

First time poster here (obviously), but I've been researching Reta for quite a while and finally took the plunge to get started after I caught a glimpse of a pretty severe stretch mark on my belly a couple months back 😅

Just did my third week of 2mg today (along with my wife who has also been very interested). It's a little more nerve wracking doing this along with someone I care about before I've got the process down and done some guinea-pigging on myself, but things are seeming to go well so far, although I'm still learning that I still have things to learn. Most recently, that would be to not put the plastic caps back on my vials after using them lol. Doing my best to focus on safe and sterile best-practices right now tho.

Started at 220lbs / 5'8", down around 10 lbs from my first weigh in, found a nice electric scale that makes nifty graphs for BMI, BF%, etc etc which is good for dork like me and also important to make sure we aren't tanking our health/losing weight too fast.

Also have started regularly taking a good dose of multivitamins, pre/probiotics, and have probably never been more hydrated in my life. Neither of us have hit much in the way of side effects yet except for some fatigue/minor anhedonia. Really looking forward to the upcoming months!

Thanks for having me!

Welcome! Also on reta here – tracking BF% along with the scale is a smart move, most people only watch weight. Hope the next few weeks treat you and your wife well.

Welcome Glepnarb - I'm new here too....although been on reta for twice as long as you have....your doing great -10lb - keep it up ....lots to learn here....take your time & enjoy the ride.

I am personally pretty paranoid about getting sunken features, droopy skin, large muscle loss, etc so trying to do my best to be proactive where I can. I don’t know how much of that is founded or not but def want to avoid.

Welcome, also started Reta recently after trying prescription Tirzepetide a couple of years ago.

Much better experience with side effects vs the Tirz!

I’d suggest some electrolytes also to help with dehydration!

Is Reta easier on the system than Tirz? Tirz has been pretty mild for me so far—just making me really thirsty, and I had a headache on injection day for the first couple of weeks. I’m only on a low dose right now, so do the side effects usually get worse as you move up?

I think everyone’s different, my wife’s experience with Tirz is fine with very little side effects, with me I couldn’t eat anything seasoned for at least 3 days post injection without being sick and having severe reflux.

With Reta, I can eat what I want to an extent!

Sounds awesome, well done. I have yet to start any peps but I have my first batch of Reta coming. Looking forward to starting!

What smart scales did you opt for? I was thinking of picking one up.

The app is VeSync, but not certain on the actual scale. Etekcity maybe?

Hydration has been huge. Taking daily electrolytes and drinking around 70-80oz a day.
