Hi everyone,

I’m a 40-year-old male from the UK. I started my journey at 160kg and am currently down to 140kg—a 20kg loss thanks to Mounjaro, which has been life-changing so far.

Lately, I’ve been doing hours of research into the next generation of triple-agonists and am deeply interested in Retatrutide. Based on my reading of the clinical trial data, I've mapped out a very conservative theoretical titration plan starting at 0.5mg to carefully find my "sweet spot."

I really don’t want to navigate this next phase of my journey alone. I would love to connect with others here who have made the switch from Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) to Retatrutide, or anyone currently researching it.

How has your experience been with the transition?

What did your titration timeline look like?

For those who switched, did you notice a significant difference in energy or appetite suppression compared to Mounjaro?

Looking forward to sharing insights and supporting each other!

Got some sample pens of mounjaro from a rep like a year ago. Took it for a month with 0 appetite suppression and horrendous heart burn so stopped.

Been on Reta now for 6 weeks and have lost 26 pounds with no real negative side effects. Love it.

Started at 1mg and quickly realized that wouldn’t work. By my 6th shot I was on 4mg. Since then I have aggressively titrated up to 7mg. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that…but it’s worked for me and I haven’t seen any real negative side effects.

Wow, 26 pounds in 6 weeks is absolutely incredible progress! It’s fascinating how differently our bodies react to these peptides. Mounjaro really worked well for me, but it's amazing that Reta completely turned things around for you after those brutal side effects.

That is a seriously aggressive titration schedule to hit 7mg by week 6! Since you scaled up that fast, did you notice any changes in your resting heart rate or energy levels? That’s one of the main things I’ve been researching regarding Reta's glucagon component.

Congrats on the brilliant results, and thanks for sharing your timeline!

Great job so far!

I'm similar to you (41 year old male from the uk). I started at 142kg and I'm currently at 95kg after a year of Mounjaro.

I'm finding that the Mounjaro is not working as well as it did so I'm either looking to add a small amount of Reta to try to break the stall or maybe transitioning like you.

I was on semaglutide for a couple of years with no result, weight up and down like a yo-yo. Switched to Tirz and immediatly had results. 6 weeks in and am stacking Reta (2.5mg) with a gap of 4 days between the Tirz (5mg). Tirz seems to have good food noise resistance where Reta has promise in assisting in the motabilisation of fat and energy production. I find the combination works well, lots of energy making it quite easy to include exercise to limit the muscle loss.

I titrated slow with Tirz, but accelerated on Reta given I was having none of the side effects. I found semaglutide to be brutal but Tirz and Reta are an easy ride.

I went from tirz to Reta and don’t regret the transition

The only negative I had with Reta was the increased heart rate and it messing up my sleep a bit. Started at 1mg for a few weeks, then 2, 3, 4. Never had a need to go over 4 personally. Sleep wasn’t just getting hit too hard

I actually have had a super interesting reaction to reta, my rhr, which was bad when I started(87 bmp) is now much lower at 64 bpm

I must admit that my sleep was completely wrecked for the first 5 ~ 6 weeks while taking Tirz and Reta. The upside is that I had more energy than before I started on them, even with 8 hours sleep. I have now started settling back into usual sleep patterns. Just had to ride it out.

Following your journey with interest.

I'm 44, F, in Ireland. Currently on 10mg of Mounjaro, and about 38kg (just over 82lb) down to date.

I am tolerating MJ really well with little to no side effects, and was looking into Reta mainly for financial reasons, and then realised that Tirzepeptide might be a good option for me.

I've picked a supplier but still haven't decided between Reta & Tirze.

I have been on Reta for 3 months and lost about 35 lbs. I am at 8mg. I am thinking of starting a small dose of Tirzepitide mid week. Anyone have any thoughts on that. It seems I hit a stall and not wanting to go above 8mgs yet.

If you’re looking for more appetite suppression, maybe try cagrilitide, super super low dose and people have had good success with that.

I'm reading the replies in heavy interest - I'm also considering the jump from Tirz to Reta, but have found the appetite suppression on low dose Mounjaro has been working for me, so I might just stay on that (but move to grey for the savings) for a bit longer. Since its still working (slowly, but surely) then it might be best to just stay the course. I guess I'm more scared of losing the appetite suppression from Tirz and then having to compensate with a stack instead of simply just staying with the one.
