INTRO Trying to get back on GLP-1

Yeah Insurance is crazy. I met the criteria originally when I started taking it. But because it was working and lost weight I was no longer on the obese side that said I didn't meet the criteria!

So I guess what they are saying is go back to your bad health and maybe you will meet the criteria again. 😡

I really like the idea of going "Gray" as they say because healthcare insurance and Medicare are not involved, so we do what we want and it's way cheaper too.

Going gray can definitely be a learning process. I'm really happy for you, in that you decided to take your health into your own hands by sourcing a medicine that has been helping you. The health insurance industry in the US is really something else! They'd rather treat you when you're sick, then to keep you from getting sick, ridiculous!

In regards to testing, I think the peace of mind would be worth it for you, considering where it's sourced from. Once tested, you can know if you're medicine is legit and you can dose appropriately. Anecdotally, I've heard that "pharma grade" glp1 is stronger than gray market, so your gray on your old dose may not feel like your pharma dose. I don't know how true that is, so don't quote me! 😅

Yes. I'm sure i no longer meet criteria as well since my a1c came down. But of course with family history, prediabetic for years, and gestational diabetes before being officially diabetic. Its gonna be a life long battle. They just yo-yo us.

there are good compounding pharmacies that may be safer than going fully gray. One of the first things id familiarize myself with if you are going to jump from Zep to gray is learn as much as you can about how to safely manage crypto transactions. there is a little forum here where you will learn a lot 🙂 welcome! Also, you probs wont feel a whole lots since your body was used to a higher dose ☘️

I’m so sorry your insurance continues to deny your coverage. I’m hopeful you will find something here!! Don’t get too down on yourself, so many other people have had their ups and downs. Progress is not linear 🙂

My first solo purchase was "gray adjacent". 😉 (US based reseller who ended up being pretty reasonable for a kit.) I don't know if I'll ever be quite brave enough to go the full gray/crypto route.

I would put the tirz you bought in the trash. It will cost more than it's worth to test it. Buying grey takes learning first. Your not ready. Spend more time here, get it compounded in the mean time. It should take about a month minimum to be ready.

Tirz user for 3 years here-

I had a few instances where I stopped or went on Reta and then came back.

The "Feeling" I had when I originally went on Tirz never really came back. It still worked but, I found that I just had less intuition about it. It took somewhat higher doses to "feel" it again, though, im not sure that the "feelings" and the weight loss are exactly 1=1
