Moving from Compound Tirz to Grey

So my wife is moving from Compound Pharmacy Tirz to Grey Tirz, which I will get for her, as the cost of the compound pharmacy is just too high. She is not on a crazy high dosage at this time, I believe 6 mg a week. When she switches to Grey Tirz am curious if she maybe should take a lower dose to start in case the Grey Tirz hits differently.

Anyone here has moved from Compound to Grey Tirz and could possibly give some insight.

I found the "Feels" to be the exact same. The only thing I can see making grey hit harder is the overfill you're likely to encounter.

I went from using ProRx and BPI Tirzepatide to Grey a couple of months ago.

I still have a stash of brand Mounjaro kwikpens (click counting) but I run a small dose of any new batch or supplier of grey to check for efficacy over and above 3rdP COA’s. So you might want to overlap with a small dose just to check on fill etc. Just so there’s no surprises.

When I transitioned to grey from compound, I did it at the time of titration but kept the same dose, think 5th week of same dose.

With overfill generally +/-10% and titration significantly higher, this allowed me to see how my body responded.

In theory, this is the same as compound if the mass is the same 5mg=5mg, even with slight overfill of 10% 5mg only = +/- 5.5mg.

try to be sure you have well tested grey. If you are concerned about sterility/endos, some take a micro dose for the first pin to weigh ISR/allergic reactions.
 
Agree with @Skidude. I switched when I titrated up from 2.5 mg to 5 mg. I never had any adverse effects on compounded. On grey, when I first switched and titrated up at the same time, I did have some muscle pains in my neck that lasted only a day. I am thinking I may not have hydrated enough with electrolytes. One time thing and everything has been peachy since. Mine were tested and found to be overfilled by 10%, but I'm not concerned by such a small amount.
 
Both my compounded and grey were overfilled so I kept the dose the same. I had injection site reactions constantly on compounded and have had zero on grey, and it feels like it's working better than the compounded. Haven't grown a third nipple and can't hear colors yet.

The vendor is well tested independently which I will look for once I know the information on the kits sent. If not will seek group test. While I don't take Tirz just Reta I suspect the 1st pin might be going into me (LOL). I don't think she would like it if she started to glow. I been learning the filtering game so I can start filtering everything.

I think the first pin being small is a result of abundance of caution.

incase you had an allergic reaction or if the wrong pep was in vial.

I personally have not done it, but it makes sense, especially if you are immune compromised, have a history of allergies, or it is the first time trying a new substance.

Also keep in mind, filtering, while helpful with large items and bacteria, does not remove endotoxins. So try and buy from a good vendor with many tests, ideally in a group test environment.
 
Yeah,Ive been looking at many testing reports and see more overfill than underfill. Id start on same dose and if by end of week she thinks it was not enough, then bump up, and as you know, with compounded, its nice that you can control your dosage
 
More than 10% overfill is pretty rare, so a dose of 6.6mg instead of 6 mg at worst is very unlikely to cause problems, unless you just increased the dose or there are already a lot of side effects.

So I would just use the same dose as the compounded one, but do lots of research on reconstituting peptides and double and triple check doses and calculations, and then use an online calculator to make sure, dosing errors are by far the most common thing to go wrong with grey peptides.

Same. Still have a bunch of ProRx 72mg. Probably a kit and a half😆. Smh of what I paid. At the time, I thought I was getting a good deal. Switched back to ProRx last month because use it or lose it, and it's not as good as I remembered. But that could be confirmation bias. Back to Grey I go. Bring me a T120!!

I have a feeling she won't stay at 6 mg but will see. Its her first dose. Possible she will go back down to 4 and stay there and that is fine if she is happy with that.
