Hi all. I’ve just tried to take my weekly shot and ended up using 5 needles one to withdraw the bac water then into peptide bottle but when I came to withdraw from vial to inject nothing would come out of the vial so I tried another needle again nothing tried 3rd and again nothing 4th attempt it worked. This has happened to me before when I ended up taking 30mg tirz instead of 15mg the following I discovered a couple of needles weren’t working

This batch of needles is a different brand BD micro fine plus can’t remember what the othered were as I wrapped them up and put them away

So anyone recommend any syringes that don’t do this from uk? The time I took more mg than I should I didn’t have my glasses on that thought the bac water was in syringe and into vial obviously not. But 1ml did go in instead of 2. Wondered why I could only get 2 weeks out of the vial instead of 4!!

Maybe you should google "how to reconstitute peptides" and "how to draw from a vial" and watch at least 30 different videos.

Then use AI to walk you through both processes. WEAR YOUR GLASSES !!!

Be careful and don't end up in an ER...

Good luck !

Something similar happened to me last night with my reta. When I went to withdrawal the liquid it just trickled into the syringe when I pulled back the plunger. I poked it again, same thing but even worse flow rate. I used a different brand of needle and same thing. I think I got a bad stopper on my vial. It's not like I'm new to this, I used to fill my Mom's insulin from a vial before they gave her pens.

I know exactly how to do it all. Been doing it for 2years. But have never had dud needles before so didn’t expect this to happen. I actually don’t need glasses use them as an extra precaution to make sure I hit the middle of the vial. Time it happened when I took too much was the time the bac water didn’t draw up and didn’t go into vial I was tired and did something on automatic pilot having done it so many times before. BUT thank you for the suggestion!! I’m asking about needles not advice on reconstructing

Was the vacuum in the vial quite strong? Did it suck the bac water out of the syringe when reconstituting? If so, you might be fighting against that. Try injecting the same volume of air into the vial before drawing your dose. I find this usually sorts out any difficulty I'm having. I assume from what you've said you're not filtering prior to use?

That's what I mean by proper reconstitution and drawing techniques: Vent your vial and add air for the volume that you are drawing up.

what size needles are you using?

I use Embecta Micro-Fine 30g 8mm which you can pick up from their Amazon store, however i do sometimes struggle with certain vials unless i get right in the middle of the stopper and have to draw very slowly.

Usually i just draw back air into the syringe and when you push into the vials you should see bubbles then you know you are in the right place.

Also side point i use much bigger needles for recon, so its super easy and no worry about messing with the smaller ones. Vials should just suck in the bac without even pushing down.

Did all of that. So far I’ve had 4 dud needles nothing goes into them and yes I pull back and push air into vial and not a drip getting into needle. Maybe it’s the vial as someone mentioned earlier

Yep I’ve got some like that bac w just gets sucked into vial sometimes with too much force!

Before pinning, remove plunger altogether. If it slides up easily, the needle has no blockage.

Next, jab the syringe into the vial to equalize air pressure. Then reinsert plunger to pressurize your draw amount plus a bit extra. You then might need to fight the pressure a bit to draw the exact amount, but you'll manage.
