I’d love to make some kind of modern art piece using those, along with syringes and needles.

WOW! What a cool idea! You could use blunt tip lure lock needles (like for filling vape cartridges) or sand down the needles of insulin syringes if you wanted to be safe...but then again I love how this piece doesn't even need a sign that says "Don't touch the art." 🤣 🤣

There is also vial cap art, for those who want to save them

I had never even THOUGHT of using the caps! I only have one saved that I used as a circle template, but I think I will from now on! I am trying to not buy size 000 corks to make earrings and necklaces with the vials....we'll see how that goes!

I am a pre-ghost Ebeneezer Scrooge come the holidays, but this may change my mind! Imagine these for twinkle lights in a garden or office...gorgeous!

Such amazing ideas here!!

FYI, I got a box of Easy Touch alcohol pads thinking they would be better. I was wrong. They are the smallest I have ever seen and the cheapest Walmart brand are actually better.

Hey y’all! Now that I’m pinning a few things, I’m looking to reduce my waste from the hobby* and wanted to ask if anyone is using their (non biohazard) waste products in any useful or creative ways? Any ideas you’d like to share?

I just realized today that I can use the top of a kit to hold my alcohol swabs so they’re not in a sliding-around-pile on my desk! Win!

I am thinking about collecting empty vials and arranging them with hot glue for an ultra-tiny bud vase, but have to accumulate more (& certainly will in time!)

Would love to hear your ideas!

* I don’t think “hobby” is the right word-these substances ARE medicine and people use them to solve serious medical issues, but I can’t think of a better word. Passion? Special interest? Idk

Repurpose comes to mind.

I use syringes that the needle comes off and when I'm done, I toss the needle and save the syringe. They're used daily in cat/kitten rescue to feed, to give meds, etc. A good wash is all it takes.
