Has anyone had a shipper from CN require a phone number?

is this a requirement for customs? if anyone can shed light on this, much appreciate it

It is usually due to the way they are shipping. I think Fedex? requires a phone number.

I have not personally experienced this. However, I have a second Google phone number that I use for all purchases, never answer it, gets transcribed and forwarded into an email. Be careful about identity theft, especially with the markets in which we are dealing.

Yes. It is not common but legit CN vendors have requested a phone number for shipping purposes. I am not sure what the reasoning was. I think it was contact info if Discord or TG accounts got nuked.

Yeah, seems pretty standard in the "how to order from us" blocks in the ads...

The only time I have had anyone call was on whatsapp and it was for India farm.

Kinda like an email request when ordering...Other than MIX who's ordering preference is email, I have never had a vendor email me either...

I just put in an order with ERP this morning and they wanted my phone number. I believe they need it for shipping.

This. I have a Google Voice number for just this reason.

Same with other stuff and a GB maybe. No uncommon. It's so the delivery company can get directions if needed.
