Pin preference?

Just ordered some EasyTouch Insulin Syringe 31 Gauge, .5cc, 5/16". There so many brands and and sizes and was wondering if ones better than another.

I often hear BD mentioned as a good alternative.

I have used 100's of the easy touch and they are easy, cheap, and get the job done.
 
Smaller needles hurt less. 31 gauge is about the smallest. Larger needles are easier to draw thru without forming bubbles .3cc and .5cc are harder to tap the air bubbles to the top. But easier to accurately measure small doses. So it's all preference. I use .3cc 31 gauge the most, but a .5cc 31 gauge can do everything the .3cc can.

Nad+ I take 50-100 units so I use 1cc with 29 gauge needles. It's harder and more time consuming to draw that much thru a 31 gauge. I always byeasy touch, I don't know if others are better or worse?
 
easy touch for me, since they are cheap and I pin 3-5x/day. Sure comfort are anything but and dull quickly and just terrible.

I just started using Sure Comfort ones from Amazon (31g 6mm) and they seem fine so far.

Might have to try the EasyTouch ones next to see if there's really that much of a difference.
 
Thanks for the responses, I use a lot of pins and the Easy Touch are $18 per hundred, and I just saw another brand for $10 for a hundred and was wondering if they're all the basically same quality. Old BB confession, back in the day I couldn't get pins without a script, so I bought some veterinarian pins, they were not as comfortable as what I'm using today.

This is what I use for peps as well and they’re great.

I haven't made the jump to pens yet, I like to keep things as simple as possible. I do like the idea of a freash needle that's not been pushed through a rubber stopper.
