Protocols

its interesting because I read on what the peptides do and some of them seem to do similar things. Thats where I get confused and usually quit. Like I really would love to learn more about SS31, but to me, that and MOTS C seem so similar. I keep searching and trying to read more on these -

I think it's a great idea because we're all lab rats after all. But creating a "guide" is moving away from what this forum is about.

I agree. That's why I don't think we should make a "guide". That's why when I mentioned a guide being created, I followed it up with how Zippity shot it down and how I agree with his decision to do so. I do not want a beginner's guide to peptides. I am suggesting an organized area where different members can have threads on how they did "protocol x" or whatever and can follow up with their specific evidence of its efficacy or not. Like how Birdwhacker has been making posts about trying different compounds and how it works or doesn't for him. Yes, a bunch of members already do this in the various different sections of the site, and yes using the search button for something specific will turn up specific results. But you don't know what you don't know. And it is kind of hard to search for something you don't know about. But if there were a section with just threads of people sharing their experiences, it can be a place of better learning for newcomers or even existing members with things they aren't familiar with yet.

Your suggestion seems to be exactly what this site already is. There is a barrier to entry in the grey area already, and with that I think it keeps some people safe that wouldn’t be able to “figure it out”. The only think you are doing by creating this guide is just making it easier for people to get into this without having to do any real research.

All the info is out there…just need to look.

I had to do research just to get here in the first place (and boy am I glad I did). It isn't like GLP1Chat is the first stop for anyone wanting to get grey market peps. If people aren't going to do research, then they aren't going to do research (and hopefully keep their asses on tiktok or reddit). And if complete newbs having access to the information is the concern, then add the section I am suggesting to the NSD rule we already have. Don't let them have access to the section until they have been in the forum long enough and proven themselves worthy as we already do with newbs.

My goal with this suggestion is not to make the information easier. It is to make it quicker. I still want people to do their own research. I want them to be able to do said research faster. If I were interested in "peptide x" and I go into this theoretical section and there are 7 different threads from 7 different users about how they specifically use(d) peptide x, I still have to read those threads and make a personal judgement call on which one (if any) I am going to follow. I agree that we pretty much already do this on this site quite often. I am suggesting we take what we have and reorganize it a bit so all of this good info is in a location where you don't have to slog through pages of other unrelated stuff to get to.

Since tone can be hard to communicate through text, I want to say that I appreciate everyone who has responded to this thread so far. This is exactly the kind of discourse I want to have about it. If it isn't a good idea then it shouldn't be implemented. And the more everyone is weighing in, the more I am seeing that the community doesn't really seem to want it. That is A-OK by me.

TLDR: I still think it is a potentially viable idea, but I see that the majority of the members responding disagree with me and this is a community not Pocket's world. So I am perfectly ok with my idea not being a good one. Love y'all all that much more for entertaining my idea and helping out. Stay awesome everyone.

I hear what you're saying and I think it's a good idea actually. However, making things easier isn't always better. I think what @ladyj779 said in her last post on this thread sums it up. It don't matter how much easier or accessible it is, some people still won't bother to do their due diligence. I know the search bar can be daunting and time consuming but it's a means of showing that you really are researching your peps.

I do not think it is a terrible idea, despite my issues with the protocol concept and the fact I think it can mislead people. But a set of explanations for the peptides that actually included the human clinical trial data or lack of it in the info would be great. A lot of people use these peptides without human trial evidence, even me, but I would love to see people at least told that first so they can decide for themselves. All the places I have seen lists of peptides and descriptions of effects or doses have not included this info and usually provide evidence from animal or cell studies, and fail to mention this, strongly implying that the evidence is much better than it really is

I suggested something similar with my Guinea Pigs post, but never heard anything back. It would be nice to know which product at a given dose, from which vendor would produce which result. I understand if the admins are uncomfortable with naming vendors, but this is a great idea.

Gotta bear in mind that a given product doesn't work the same at a given dose for everyone ; ) Part of the fun is watching how YOU respond.

Yeah, nobody would be trying to tell others what to inject; they would just relate their own experience.

That being said, I find the information on peptidedosages, pep-pedia, peptidepedia, etc. to be very useful as a starting point. Info from real people would only enhance that, allowing people to make better-informed decisions.

That is exactly the vibe I have envisioned for this. Also, there are things related to peps that those sites don't really cover. Example: How to properly use lido safely to help mitigate spicy peps. Took me ages to find 2 threads on here that actually gave dosages and I am still not sure that they are right.

Ok, but is what you are doing "right for you?"

I read about what other people are doing, and then run my own deal. I don't get too wrapped around the axel on making sure what I am doing is "right"...

I have been on tirz since March, titrated up a bit along the way, and it is still working fine just like it supposed to... But last week, I started split dosing with reta because I wanted to see how that would go and give it a try it......I am not even sure how to write out a 'protocol' for that, let alone 'recommend' it for other people to follow... 😎

Spit balling an idea here, so please feel free to chime in, poke holes, help fill holes, etc.

So I know it has been suggested in the past that a guide for peps be made for newbies. And Zippity correctly shot it down because there are too many variables to account for everything and we all would not likely agree one one way to do things. It has been nagging at me though because there are some things in this community that seem to be common place that I am lost on and would love to have a thread or area where I can find how things are done.

So how do we have a guide without having a guide? Here is where my idea comes in. What if we have a section where members can post what they have done? Their own How-to thread of how THEY did it. This would help eliminate the disagreement over which way is the right way. It would give a nice space for follow up posts to track progress and effectiveness of said protocol. It is still on the newbs to read all the relevant threads and decide for themselves which one to follow.

I realize that we can (and many times already do) do this in the existing forum areas, but I think if we had a section dedicated to people documenting how they are using peps and their results, it could help others make more educated decisions and less blundering into things. All while maintaining GLP1Chat's neutrality in not supporting one way or another.

What do you all think?

There are links here on dosing protocols and safe stacks that combine well. Search please. I received some good ones from gracious members by asking politely. The one has scientific doctor supported data, as far as the testing is. Obviously way more testing is needed. I would start there before going down the primrose opinion road. Just me tho.

I do search. Often. And often times have to wade through pages and pages of threads and responses to things that aren't even related in order to find a nugget of something useful. My thought behind this suggestion was that others who are committed to doing peps but don't have the attention span to search for hours, might instead say fuck it and wing it rather than taking the time to find a protocol. Or they may get exhausted by searching for a long time and blindly follow the first one they find rather than trying to find more of them to see if they agree or conflict. So in the interest of harm reduction, I was just suggesting a section where we put all of the threads about personal experiences in one spot so they can be easier to navigate through and people can get the information they need. And again, I see that this is not something the community wants and I am absolutely fine with that. I appreciate everyone taking the time to provide their thoughts on this.

I would rather see a member diary or blog, in the level of detail that the member is comfortable sharing, rather than members saying “here’s what ya gotta do” — which is what a how-to thread is.
