I started Tretinoin when I began Tirz 2 mos ago. I'm down only 35lbs at this point, but I am going to go down another 130lbs. I wanted to help my skin tighten as I go through this journey, not wait until the weight is gone and try to fix it then. After losing this much weight, there will be no options for me other than surgery to address loose/sagging skin. So far, I have no loose skin at all. I workout in the pool with laps and pool weights and I also use resistance bands daily.

Tretinoin was started at .05% CREAM and I am about to increase it to .1% GEL in 30 more days. So, 90 days at .05% cream and then I'm going to .1% gel until the weight loss goal of 220lbs is achieved. DO NOT slather this stuff on. A very small pea sized amount placed in the exact areas you know will need to stay firm as you lose the weight is all that is needed.
Each day at NIGHTIME, I put a pea sized amount under each bicep, my chin/neck and on each side of my lower belly about midway between my belly button and love handles. 5 tiny pea sized amounts...THAT'S IT! There is a difference in cream and gel. I chose cream to start in hopes that it would be more gentle and it has been. Gel will go deeper and respond quicker. I decided to make the .1% gel because I will have a higher tolerance after 3 mos of the .05% and I will also be in the higher weight loss #'s then too. I want the full effect of the medication to be with me once I start getting into the big #'s of 75lbs, 100lbs down, etc...
Again, I must strongly suggest that no one decides that more is better. IT IS NOT. Read up on this cream. It is prescription for a reason and it stays in your bloodstream. It's generally prescribed for acne, so it's helpful to those of us that are on T or HGH and want to minimize the scars and bumps that are associated with breakouts of acne.
Please share your thoughts and/or experience with this or similar creams that you have used or think may work.
