Does it make sense to combine a small amount of semaglutide with retatrutide to increase appetite suppression? Has anyone done it and can suggest dosing, considering I’m already at about 8 mg of reta per week?

There is likely someone on here doing it, but I know that the Reta + Tirz combo is used more frequently by subjects ‘round these parts for that same purpose.

There are a lot of mixed feelings and opinions on stacking GLP peps, not necessarily from currently experienced adverse effects, but from the lack of research and evidence on whether the stack is safe biologically.

One thought is that Reta vs either other GLP has different glucose effects/needs and may partially inhibit the efficacy of the other.

Another thought is to be aware of the total stimulus of the receptors, considering the stacking of (some of) the same receptors.

With respect to these concerns, a common solution is to stack Cagrilintide instead, as it uses a different receptor / function, but accomplishes meaningful food noise suppression.

That all said, I’ve done the Reta+Tirz stack for a little bit of time for the sole purpose of the quieting food noise effect Tz has, have been comfortable with it without any adverse effects, but am always learning, growing, adapting, refining my protocols. Everyone has different thresholds of risk or venturing into the unknown- at the end of the day, keep your eyes and mind open, and listen to your body.

Tirz seems to be most effective for that, so switching would seem the better bet. There seems to be a pretty good argument that adding a bit of Reta to a Tirz regimen might increase results, but keep in mind, the faster the weight loss, the more muscle tends to be lost. You can mitigate it with proper diet and resistance training, but if you are doing all that, you likely don't need the boost.

My doctor currently prescribes me 2.4mg of semaglutide via Wegovy.

I have stagnated with the medicine. I have not lost any weight since last year, July 2025. Perhaps the most I’ve lost is 5lbs.

I’m thinking to stack 0.25mg or 0.5mg of retatrutide starting Monday, April 13 2026.

On Monday I will take my wegovy shot per usual.

And on Thursday, I will start retatrutide.

I hope I survive this experiment!

how’d this work for you? I was in the same boat and have been combining Sema and Reta in a stack for a few months now. Am considering switching Sema to Tirz. I’m not getting major side effects, but the Sema is blocking me up a bit…

It worked wonders! I lost only 4 lbs. But I'm glad it moved the needle.

Currently, I am stacking Tirz + Reta. And since stacking for 6 weeks, I have lost nearly 5 lbs! I will create another thread to share my Tirz + Reta journey.

You can check it out my Sema+Reta journey here

For 5 weeks and change I’ve been stacking .125mg of Sema 2x weekly with my 9mg of Reta 2x weekly, staggered injection days.

I took .25mg for my first dose (planned on .5mg/week) and that was more effect and bleh feeling than I expected.

I’m down 17lb in these 5 weeks, some of that was dewatering from stopping creatine.

Sema plus reta is a solid combo. Reta is relatively weak GLP1 agonist. Sema is only a GLP agonist. Basically supplementing what Reta is weak at. I'm hesitant about tirz as both reta and tirz are strong GIP agonists.

I'm doing 2.4mg of Sema and 4mg of Reta. Reta starts messing with my sleep quality much higher.

What’s your dosage?

I’m on 7mg Reta and planning to add a low dose of 2.5mg triz this week to just quiet down my food noise. Currently loosing 3.5 pounds a week so not trying to speed it up, just want to stop thinking about food all the time.

Unless you are very overweight, with that weekly weightloss, food noise is expected. That is very fast and probably should increase food to get no more than 2lbs a week.

Disregard if you are very overweight.

I started at 290. Currently at 255. I was losing 5.5 pounds a week but have increased my calories and am now at the 3.5.

I think it’s been discussed on another thread but that’s flirting in the danger zone with your gallbladder and other potential downsides.

Yeah it is. Still trying to slow it down. I’m hitting 180+ grams of protein a day and trying to increase calories as I go.

If you need more calories to slow the loss, fat and carbs are usually an easier source of calories.

Assuming 1% w/w loss is the target, you’re short ~500 calories a day.

I am on 5mg of Tirz and only 2.5 mg of Reta.

When I first started my peptide journey, I was prescribed zepbound. With that alone, I responded quite well and lost 30+ lbs

Due to my strong response from Tirz, I will keep Reta at 2.5mg. And I will only titrate Tirz every 2-3 months.

Your plan to have low dosage of Tirz is very reasonable, given that your Reta dosage is high.

This is sooooo insightful! I have been feeling quite dizzy and light headed. OMG!

1.2mg sema and 8mg reta weekly, reaching the goal so slowly started to reduce, currently at 1.2mg sema and 4mg reta. Will gradually stop reta over the next 12 weeks, stay on sema for 6 weeks and see if weight comes back. If it doesn't, will reduce sema as well, 0.2mg every 4 weeks and try to find my maintenance dose
