So this is Albuterol / Clenbuterol but with more selectivity to avoid the side-effects. Interesting, remains to be seen if it will work in larger scale trials.

Specifically to avoid "excessively stimulating the heart" as with clenbuterol, which has killed more than a few healthy young people after recreational use.

Clenbuterol I used in my young days , after one week my hand sake like I had Parkinson’s so i stopped, also felt very hot.

I tried on off for 6 months

There are better things out there

Agreed clenbuterol is awful stuff I got terrible side effects from it and it’s way more dangerous than most would think. There are simply better safer options these days.

At first I suspected BAM15, but then I remembered its a mitochondrial decoupler not a b2 agonist. I m interested to know its name when its available

This is the study "GRK-biased adrenergic agonists for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. Cell, 2025; 188 (19): 5142 DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2025.05.042"

It is a biased agonist of b2 receptors and it does look like it really has far less impact on the cardiovascular system than other b2 agonists like clenbuterol that the bodybuilders use. ( In general it is not regarded as a medically safe option to treat obesity ) And it has already had phase 1 human studies done, which went ok, so it looks like it is being actively developed as a drug, still years off likely but interesting. I think in the longer term treatment is likely to involve multiple drugs working on different systems, especially for more severe obesity, so the more drugs that work , the more options exist.

This is really interesting! My mom developed diabetes while she was pregnant with my younger brother, and unfortunately she wasn't able to get rid of the disease afterwards. There's so many issues that come along with type 2 so it's nice to see that there's work being done to help. For a while it felt like they just wanted you to take metformin and/or insulin and just deal.
