Tirz and sleep apnea

3-4 per week is a good rate. Remember there is a limit of how many calories your body can draw on fat per day. At 3-4 lbs per week you are near the maximum.

I am noting that you plan to increase dose next Monday. You are losing weight, why would you increase your dose? Some people, and unfortunately doctors blindly follow the dosing plan adopted for trials. When weight is dropping, it is working. Why not stay on your current dose until you have a stall of four weeks or longer? People are in such a hurry.

That's a good point actually. I'll monitor my loss over the next two weeks and see how it goes. Thanks

You're right. I'm blindly following the status quo. I'll monitor my loss over the next few weeks to see if it plateaus before upping then. Thanks.

Indeed. If it not broken don't fix it, if it works -- I would not increase without a reason. Also, remember that with the half-life of ~5days you need about 4 weeks to maximize residual accumulation. For example a 2.5mg 5 day half life drug will result in 3.95mg accumulation by week 4.

I had 115 AHI during my sleep study. This was about a year ago. I average 1 AHI ever since getting my cpap.

I've been using tirz and lost a lot of weight since then. But I was snoring a lot even when I was younger and fit. So I expect I will have to continue to use the cpap even when I reach my goal weight. My doctor told me that weight loss does not always cure sleep apnea.
