I got lucky, but it could have been ugly..

When loading a syringe for injection my 31g needle was slightly bent; I injected with it anyway.

Then someone posted about the dangers and I will never try that again.

Yes, a bent insulin needle can break during an injection. Never use a bent or damaged needle. Trying to straighten or reuse a bent needle weakens the metal, which raises the real danger of the tip snapping off under your skin, leading to pain, tissue damage, or a required medical visit. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Risks of Using a Bent Needle

    • Breakage: Weakened metal can snap inside the body.
    • Tissue Harm: Rough or hooked tips tear skin and fat.
    • Wrong Doses: Bent shafts block proper insulin flow.
    • More Pain: Damaged tips cause bleeding and bruising. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

What to Do If Your Needle Bends

    • Take it out: Gently remove the needle if any part is visible.
    • Throw it away: Put the broken or bent needle in a hard plastic sharps container.
    • Check the dose: If no medicine went in, you can use a fresh needle for a new shot. If some medicine went in, call your doctor first

Great thread!

I think for me, quality over quantity! COAs and testing are so important!!!

I ordered a bunch of stuff before I knew how important independent (non Vendor) testing was….now, I won’t buy unless there’s an option for testing, ie group buys or vendor TG with testing channels….
 
Id say - don't rush. Take time learning the space- not just this forum, but the whole peptide space. I was excited to learn HOW to buy, how to use crypto and I placed my first few orders because I was eager. They went smoothly, no issues, YAY, BUT, then I learned about STG, got to read and study a long chart of test reports, see what vendors are very frequently used, who typically has best testing results, learned more about what companies you are likely to find test groups for, AND then learned about group buys and the perks/downfalls of those.

Had I waited and really understood the market, I may have waited a bit longer to buy, but I wanted to "try it" myself first. Now, in hindsight, had I known what I know now, I may have gone about things a little differently, but Im still glad I have dabbled around and gotten my toes wet.

So, it's not what I wish I knew, it's just that now I know a little more. And in this space, the more you know, the better.

It certainly would have been cheaper to know what I know now… 😳 😎 👍
 
Another mistake that has stuck with me is:

I had a vendor that I was very successful with and would actually, to some degree, defend if they were discussed in a negative way. Then I saw some really negative issues with them.

I no longer "vouch" for vendors; knowing that any given time things could go south for them.

I used to buy retatrtuide from now-defunct vendor called Biopulsepeptide. They were great and even sent me replacement at first...then boom, just gone. I knew something wasn't right a few weeks before their complete disappearance.
 
Pinning after a night out!

Dropped a loaded syringe which landed like a dart in my toe.

Stabbed my finger while pinching.

Blunted a needle so badly by trying to get trough the fat part of the stopper, then pinned myself like I was harpooning a whale. Hurt like hell and had all the colours of the rainbow the next few days.

Lesson learned 😞

I have done this, I don't think I will do this again after reading this! Thanks @Skidude
 
1. Don't be in a hurry to make your first purchase, there is no rush

2. Learn crypto now, while researching vendors

3. Find vendors that are 3rd party tested most often

4. Buy multiple kits with the same batch # to save money on testing

5. Testing and filtering will eliminate most risk, 100% worth the effort

6. Don't add other peps for at least 3 months. Keep it simple at first.
