What's the most noob thing you've ever done with peps?

What do you look back on from the very beginning of your peptide journey and cringe at?

I'm sure I've done worse things but what comes to mind at the moment is buying Amazon bac water. I've not used it but it seems that was a major noob move when I have access to hospira. Though I get that some have little choice in other countries.

The other thing that irritates me to remember was I bought an expensive single vial of 5am1mq thinking it was going to be the greatest for me, it was my third ever peptide purchase after tirz then bpc/tb stack. But I didn't fully research into dosing and realized after getting it that I just spent a crap ton on a SINGLE DOSE VIAL, 5mg. So I never even used it. It just sits in my freezer case taunting me about how I jumped the gun without properly researching.

I know most of us have the nearly obligatory spent-a-fortune-before-wising-up noob tale.

Before I started, I did a absolute crap ton of research. I mean, like, at least an hour on reddit lol. I went to Mexico and was delighted to find tirzepitide. Score! Actual grey market tirz! The guy had 20mg vials for only $140 each! I bought three. As soon as I got home I reconstituted my first vial using the 3ml vial of Mexican bac water (yea, right?), using the 3ml syringe they gave me. I drew out my 37.5 units with some difficulty, using the same 3ml syringe. I pinned it and I was off to the races. I didn't realize until later that the bottles only contained 2ml of bac water. So I was taking 50% more tirz than I realized. And it's a whole lot easier to measure a starter dose when you're not using a 3ml syringe. And a 31 ga needle doesn't hurt nearly as much as a 25 ga.

Live and learn.

I've involuntarily crypto a couple times lol. One was a straight-up scam that I should've been able to spot but I think I felt rushed. (Never send anyone $ when you're feeling rushed.)

The other was a bait and switch in which I was "guaranteed" refund or replacement if the substance didn't pass testing. Only after I got "ND" results was I informed I had to "send it to Czech Republic for testing." No refund or replacement. Vendor was informed in advance of where I was testing and should've informed me them about their special testing rules.

At least in that case I didn't feel AS dumb bc the vendor was a liar, and I had no way to predict there.

That's the worst. I felt like I barely made it out alive with my only vendor experience. I'm not going back.

My first dose of Tirzepatide was an overdose. In my defense, the instructions from the telehealth and compounding pharmacy were confusing and incomplete.

The next day I had heartburn and a tightness in my stomach. I spent the next 3 days tasting the food that was still in my stomach from the dinner before the first dose. Couldn't eat a thing for days and just wanted to nap. No nausea or vomiting, thank goodness. But I must be a SUPER-RESPONDER, I thought. Woo hoo!

Finally found helpful dosing discussions on Reddit, of all places, and realized my error. I do sometimes wonder if that initial mistake caused me to plateau a few months earlier than I might have ordinarily.

I haven't hurt myself with GLPs or peps, just my wallet. I spent $3000 in a year on Semaglutide from a compounder and lost 15 lbs. They convinced me that it would work if I just kept going. Lesson learned.

Geez, you'd think they'd have their info straightforward when compounding!

That makes me wince. At least you left them in the dust eventually.

Same. Grateful I haven't gotten hurt. I hope the jerks and rip-off artists never find the cool side of another pillow.

buying Amazon bac water, not sure that it is noob worthy. I have seen way worse on here.

I was a very silly goose with the below 🪿 but hey since we are sharing here's my stupid mistake:

I had my nightly shower , did the usual ritual slap on some coconut oil then realized I forgot to jab!

Instead of thoroughly washing the area, I did a quick wipe & in goes the Tessa!

Well that was the start of a horrid half hour. OMG 🙃

I turned bright red all over , vomited , had head spins & felt like my bowel was literally going to fall out 😳 Had to cover myself in wet towels till the moment passed , thought that was it for me!

It was a wild ride but I've never made such as dumb move again when it comes to preperation & hygiene. I am assuming a small amount of oil entered the body upon injection of Tessa due to my rushed jab.

Never again!

My most noob moment (and I think many of us have shared a similar experience) was thinking the $140 single vial of R10 I purchased was amazing value.

Oh yes! I think I paid 230 for a vial of 60mg tirz and thought it was great. Now I'm annoyed if I pay over 130 for a kit of 60mg.
