I think I have one too many hobbies.... Mountain biking, motorcycling/track days, PRS type shooting/reloading and recently flying drones. I guess I can also add peptides

Also in the ADHD train although life got a bit easier with estrogen therapy and diagnosis.
I tend toward crafty things. My closet is full of bins… I try to keep things sorted even if there’s a measure of it. If I can’t close the door I sort and purge. My favorite of late is sewing and crochet.
I design and procure (buy the made design) metal things for work (mechanical design) so using a different material that is just SO different is just fun. Metal doesn’t move much. Fabric, ehhh it depends. And whether you WANT it to also changes.
I just don’t spend much. Hubby bought a surger for a Christmas gift and I bawled. I don’t NEED it but when he didn’t know what to get me. They’re not four digits expensive. But I just make do, usually.
Maybe I need to step up my hobbies lol

Hoo boy, the instrument alone was as much as a car, and the bow.... Ain't she a beaut, though? Oh and she has some friends.... Being a professional musician is ridiculous. We're expected to have these things in a job that pays shit for most people. I'm lucky, I won a job with an actual salary.

I have not tried other cheeses yet. Just your basic cream cheese for crackers.
I do use local WI cheese bricks. There are some good farmer market cheeses to experiment with.
I just use the Costco pellets and smoke for a few hours at the lowest my RegTec will go.

It's a mix of Oak, Hickory, Maple and Cherry. 40lbs for like $12. It's quite mild, not overpowering. This year I haven't had time to get in some real hours on the smoker. Mostly meal prepping burgers, 220 for 1.5 - 2 hours. Makes a juicy medium 93/07% patty.
You have the real pit, I'm just cheating with a pellet smoker. I get most of my knowledge from my brother out of Kansas City and keeping a log. Up here in the north we don't have many actual smoke houses, and the only BBQ food truck sells out fast. We could make a killing up here with smoked chicken quarters, something with fast turn around and forget the big cuts of meat. Chicken wings, 1.5 hours on the smoker and deep fried to keep a fresh turnover every hour.

Cars but not because it's a hobby. I've had some bad luck on lemon cars and my daughter has now had two accidents in my vehicles this year (she just got her permit in Feb, one accident in Feb and the second one today). Between mechanical repairs, rentals, accidents/bodywork, and paying way too much for CPO that turned out to be problematic so I lost a lot on resale, I've spent a small fortune. Ugh I don't want to spend anymore money on cars. At least I have a peptide order coming hopefully soon!

Then for a decade it was racing. CCS, WERA, ASRA, AHRMA, and a little bit of AMA-Pro. (see avatar).
Then it became the stock market.
Then guns.
Now it's this place:
Historic but somewhat run-down house that was about to be lost to foreclosure for the 2nd time in 5 years.
We saved it from that, and are now sorta turning it into a gentleman's farm; buying up adjacent farm land, setting up a small grape vineyard, and a fruit tree orchard on the North 40.
Tractors and implements for said farm seem to be looming large as the next money pit...
