Hey guys, 32 y/o from west coast Canada here. Saw this forum mentioned in a friend's group discord and didn't think much of it at the time, but I'm super thankful I remembered now that it's landed me here. My only experience with glp-1's has been titrating up from 2.5-10 on tirzepatide on rx from my doctor. Initially I had great success, went from 320 down to 295 in about 6 weeks, but almost immediately after plateaued pretty hard. Made it down to 280 over the following five months, but at any dose at 5 or more per week I noticed it significantly diminishing my energy and drive to train/meal prep/engage in activities I normally enjoy.
I've gotten pretty good at meal prepping with whole foods and tracking diet/progress with macrofactor, and I train often (boxing, cycling, badminton). I've always had a problem with appetite control though. Despite eating whole foods and trying hard to stick to the plan, it just doesn't really matter if I'm still skulling 1,000 extra calories each day. ¯\(ツ)/¯
I think the answer is definitely here in these compounds, just might not be the one I started with!
I'm trying to get back down to 220, the weight I was boxing at in my early 20s. Made some poor life choices while with a toxic ex, spent several years seeing how far down the alcoholic spiral I could go, and now several years after that low point I'm trying to fix my life one step at a time I guess.
Sorry for the long intro rant, I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here. From the few hours I've spent reading around the forum so far, seems like a very warm and knowledgeable community here. Thanks for having me!
